The movie will recount the intimate moment in the Oval office between two men at the height of their powers, Elvis Presley and President Richard Nixon.

AceShowbiz - "Elvis & Nixon" has found two of its leading actors. Michael Shannon ("Man of Steel") is set to play the late King of Rock & Roll Elvis Presley, while Kevin Spacey ("House of Cards") is booked to portray former President of the United States, Richard Nixon.

The movie is based on the true story of the legendary singer's meeting with Mr. President back in 1970. Liza Johnson ("Hateship Loveship") serves behind the lens, while the screenplay is written by Cary Elwes and Hanala and Joey Sagal.

Two men at the height of their powers, conscious they could not stay on top forever, both ripped with fear of the inevitable, sharing one famous private moment in the Oval office. On the morning of December 21, 1970, the King of Rock n Roll showed up on the White House lawn to request a meeting with the most powerful man in the world, President Nixon. He had a very urgent request: to be sworn in as an undercover Federal Agent at large.
