AceShowbiz - Many stars took to social media to urge fans to participate in the midterm elections which took place on Tuesday, November 4. Among those who told fans to go out and vote are Justin Timberlake, Fergie a.k.a. Stacy Ferguson, Usher, Sarah Silverman, Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell and Patrick Stewart.
"Vote MOFOS! I know, I know... 'It takes too long.' 'I don't know any of the issues.' You can't have an opinion if you don't have a voice," the "Suit & Tie" hitmaker tweeted. Shepard, meanwhile, sent out a tweet which read, "Attention All Lazy Dinguses: get your ass to a polling station today. Vote. The majority of Americans are rational, they just don't show up."
Ashton Kutcher, who recently welcomed a daughter with Mila Kunis, also sent out a tweet, telling fans to "make the time to vote today!" Jessica Alba, John Legend, Bette Midler, Rob Lowe, Mandy Moore and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were among those who urged fans to vote.
Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, said in a Twitter post that she's "standing w Obama in the midterm election." She added a photo of her and President Obama as characters from her game app and added a link to iWillVote.com which provides informations about polling locations among others. The reality star's post prompted speculations whether she got confused about the elections.
Even some celebrities who were away took time to vote in the Tuesday elections. "Americans! Don't Forget To Vote Today!! I'm in Dublin but I voted by mail! Get going everyone!" Eva Longoria said on Twitter.
Lil Jon, whose song "Turn Up for What" was turned into Rock the Vote PSA called "Turn Out for What" starring Lena Dunham, Whoopi Goldberg, Fred Armisen and more, decided to fly from Los Angeles to Georgia to vote after he was unable to get his absentee ballot. He later proudly shared a photo of him after casting his ballot.
