The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' actor is in early talks to take the main role in the Apple computer co-founder's biopic.

AceShowbiz - The producers for the untitled Steve Jobs biopic are scrambling for a new actor now that Christian Bale has exited the project. Michael Fassbender's name quickly turns up as the potential actor to portray the Apple co-founder.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Fassbender was in early talks for the role that Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio ditched. Seth Rogen is also still in negotiations to star as Steve Wozniak and no official offer has been made. Director Danny Boyle is scheduled to meet the cast this week to talk about the movie and the project is eying a winter filming start for a quick turnaround.

Bale left the project reportedly because he felt the part was not right for him. Meanwhile, DiCaprio was not able to squeeze the film in his schedule because he was due to shoot "The Revenant".

The Steve Jobs biopic is written by Aaron Sorkin. It is said to be divided into three acts that detail Jobs preparing for three presentations that came to define his life and the life of the company he co-founded, lost and came back to.
