AceShowbiz - Tom Cruise is pulling off a death-defying stunt yet again. After running down the world's tallest building in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol", now he is strapped to a moving plane at 5,000 feet for a dangerous scene in the sequel, "Mission: Impossible V".

The actor was pictured holding onto the door of an Airbus A400M Atlas while the military airplane was flying over the British countryside at 250mph. Wearing a tuxedo as his character Ethan Hunt, he suspended himself high in the air only with two safety harnesses.

The movie crew allegedly pleaded with Cruise not to perform the daring scene himself, but the thrill-seeking star was persistent. "It's easily the most outrageous stunt Tom has ever done," a source told Express. "When it was all over, the crew were clapping and cheering!"

Last December, Cruise talked to Graham Norton about doing his own stunts in movies. "People do say no, but as an actor you bring everything, physically and emotionally, to a character," he explained. "I'm able to do them (stunts). I've trained for 30 years doing things like that."

The fifth film will arrive nationwide on December 25 next year. Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames are confirmed to reprise their respective roles, while Rebecca Ferguson (II) is tapped as the new leading lady. Other new additions include Alec Baldwin.
