The original stars such as Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Danny Huston will also return to the big screen version.

AceShowbiz - "Magic City" might have been shown the ax on small screen, but it's getting a revamp on big screen. The canceled Starz series will be made into a movie with new additions Bruce Willis and Bill Murray joining original actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The series' creator Mitch Glazer will write, direct and exec produce the movie. Set in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution, the series centered on Morgan's character Ike Evans who is the owner of Miami's glamorous hotel Miramar Playa. He makes a suspicious deal with mobster named Ben "The Butcher" Diamond, played by Danny Huston.

Olga Kurylenko starred as Morgan's wife who is a former nightclub dancer. Kelly Lynch was Ike's wealthy former sister-in-law. Both actresses and Huston will also return for the movie version, which gets an upgrade to 1962 set.

QED will introduce the project to buyers at the American Film Market next week. "Mitch is a fantastic creative partner and we're thrilled to collaborate with him again," Bill Block of QED said. "We loved Magic City the series and know that with Mitch's sensational script and this outstanding cast, it will translate beautifully to the big screen."

Glazer in turn said, "The chance to explore this wild time and place and this compelling family saga is a dream come true." This would be a reunion for Glazer, Murray and Willis who worked together in "Rock the Kasbah".
