AceShowbiz - Elle Fanning, Naomi Watts and Susan Sarandon are brought together for "Three Generations" drama, The Hollywood Reporter learns. Nikole Beckwith writes the screenplay, and Gaby Dellal ("On a Clear Day") is hired to serve behind the lens.
Fanning who was recently seen playing Princess Aurora in Disney's "Maleficent" will play a New York teen named Ray who is transitioning from female to male. Watts portrays her single mother, Maggie, who is coming to terms with having to raise her only daughter as a son.
Sarandon stars as Maggie's mother, Dolly. A quick-witted music manager who shares her brownstone with her lesbian partner, Frances, she is having a hard time wrapping her head around Ray's life-altering decision and Maggie's inability to move out of the house in which she grew up.
