The actress, who is appearing in 'Before I Go to Sleep' alongside Colin Firth, gushes about her husband when stopping by 'Ellen', saying, 'I'll do anything for that man.'

AceShowbiz - Nicole Kidman has opened up about how she coped with the passing of her father Dr. Anthony Kidman last month. The actress, who is gearing up for the release of her latest movie "Before I Go to Sleep", talked about the tough time and her husband Keith Urban's "amazing" support when stopping by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday, October 30.

"When you have your partner who just literally carries you through a tough time - he's been amazing to me," Kidman said of her singer husband. "To have my husband just step up that way, it makes me cry. He's amazing. ... We all go through hard times in our lives, but to be literally carried by your partner, and physically at times because I was so devastated. I'll do anything for that man."

The "Moulin Rouge!" star also shared that she appreciated people's messages of support when she was mourning her father's sudden passing. "I've realized we don't talk about it enough in terms of our society," Kidman said. "Everybody loses their parents and it's awful. I'm sorry to bring everything down, but I'm at the same time trying to navigate through something right now."

"And I'm amazed when people reach out, because it's an awkward thing at times, but to have people go, 'I'm so sorry for your loss.' ... the power of that, and even a note or anything, which I've gotten so much love from people. ... When you realize that someone has gone through a similar thing or is going through a similar thing, it really connects you," she explained to host Ellen DeGeneres.

"Before I Go to Sleep" is hitting theaters in the U.S. on October 31. Kidman and Colin Firth are joined by Mark Strong and Anne-Marie Duff among others in the mystery flick directed by Rowan Joffe.
