Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber will work on the script for the movie about Tommy Wiseau, a filmmaker behind the 'greatest bad movie ever made,' 'The Room'.

AceShowbiz - James Franco has hired writers for his film "The Disaster Artist". TheWrap reports that "The Fault in Our Stars" scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are set to work on the script for the movie about Tommy Wiseau.

Wiseau is the infamous European filmmaker who directed "The Room", a film that was originally released in 2003 and has since become a cult classic because of its bizarre storytelling, acting and production values.

Franco will direct "The Disaster Artist". Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will produce under their Point Grey banner alongside Franco's Rabbit Bandini. Dave Franco is attached to play Greg Sestero, an actor who starred in Wiseau's film and wrote "The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside the Room" which is about his involvement in the "greatest bad movie ever made."

Neustadter and Weber joined the project after several months of negotiations. "Neustadter and Weber are the perfect writers to join the filmmaking gang we have over here with Seth Rogen, et all. They have the perfect tone for this funny, but heartfelt story about trying to make your dreams come true," Franco said of the duo.
