AceShowbiz - William Shakespeare could be the subject of The CW's upcoming show. The network is teaming up with Mark Harmon to develop a drama about the famous English poet and playwright as a young man.
Described as a tale of black magic, romance and revenge, "Shakespeare's Sisters" is set in 1590s London and chronicles a young Will Shakespeare's rise to prominence as he finds himself caught in a deadly conflict among three witches and the most powerful woman in the world, Queen Elizabeth. The Hollywood Repoter first reported the news.
Scott Sullivan (NCIS: Los Angeles") will pen the script, while "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" star Harmon will produce the fantasy drama along with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum.
The CW has enjoyed success with period drama "Reign" which airs Thursdays at 9 P.M.
