Daily Star apologizes to the One Direction heartthrob five months after they published a fake naked photo which they claimed was taken by Styles.

AceShowbiz - Harry Styles has received an apology from Daily Star which previously claimed that he took a naked photo of himself and shared it online. The media's apology was made five months after they published the fake photo.
"We said that Harry Styles of One Direction had posted explicit photos of himself online and we published one of them. In fact the pictures had been Photoshopped and were fake. They were not posted by Harry Styles and were not pictures of him. We apologize to Harry for any embarrassment and distress our article may have caused," they said of the story they published in May.
Styles was most recently seen playing ice skating. Some lucky fans managed to take photos of the 20-year-old star and shared them on Twitter.
On Monday, October 27 it was announced that One Direction would be one of the performers taking the stage at the 2014 American Music Awards. The group will join other entertainers such as Lorde and Fergie a.k.a. Stacy Ferguson at the event which takes place at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on November 23.
