In compensation for the anticipation loss, Marvel announced that it would premiere some never-before-seen footage from the movie during the October 28 episode.

AceShowbiz - Fans of "The Avengers" may still look forward to next week's episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Marvel Studios announced that it would be replacing the trailer debut of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" with more footage from the movie during the ABC show's Tuesday, October 28 broadcast.

The first trailer of "The Avengers" sequel was initially scheduled to premiere during the series. However, it got online on Wednesday, October 22 and the studio was forced to release the official version quickly as damage control.

The trailer still gained success despite the leak. It racked up 34.3 million global views within 24 hours with 26.2 million of those coming from Marvel's YouTube account. It smashed the previous record held by Marvel's "Iron Man 3" by over 20 million views in the same initial 24-hour time period. The first "Avengers" movie teaser was hit 20.4 million times while "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" collected 23.5 million views on its first day, EW reported.

In its announcement, Marvel thanked fans for the success of the official trailer release. Even more footage and first looks from the movie will be released during the November 4 documentary "Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!" on ABC.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters Stateside May 1, 2015.
