AceShowbiz - Air New Zealand has released a safety video which is set in Middle-Earth. The 4-minute clip titled "The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made", which features gorgeous views of hills, rivers and grassy fields in New Zealand, starts with two fans catching their flight only to be transported into Middle-Earth. A flight attendant dressing up as an Elf then appears on screen and shows the usual instructions to fasten the seat belt.

Elijah Wood who plays Frodo in "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, director Peter Jackson, Sylvester McCoy who portrays Radagas and Dean O'Gorman who plays Fili the Dwarf in "The Hobbit" also make appearances alongside dwarves, an eagle and other creatures from the J.R.R. Tolkien books. An orc hilariously makes an appearance during a demonstration with the oxygen mask.

"Thank you for embarking on your journey with Air New Zealand," Wood says in the end of the clip. "May your path always be guided by the light of the stars. And may the future bestow upon you all the happiness and adventure our Middle-Earth has to offer."

The video is released ahead of the premiere of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies". The movie, also starring Martin Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Ian McKellen and Benedict Cumberbatch who voices the gold-loving dragon Smaug, hits U.S. theaters on December 17.

"Air New Zealand has created yet another fantastic video to celebrate The Hobbit films. I had a lot of fun on the set with Taika and the team and look forward to seeing the video on board," Jackson said of the safety video, referring to its director Taika Waititi.
