Official 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Trailer Offers Plenty of First Looks
Movie

There are scenes of a gigantic robot equipped with Iron Man's features, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in action, and Andy Serkis in human form.

AceShowbiz - The first trailer of Marvel and Disney's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" got out before its scheduled time. The video leaked online on Tuesday, October 21, featuring a grim-looking world and a band of superheroes who look defeated. Not long after, Marvel Entertainment decided to release the official version.

"It's the end. The end of the path I started us on," Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark says in the trailer as the villainous Ultron builds his army. There are plenty of never-before-seen first looks such as a self-aware AI robot designed in Iron Man's image, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Johnson as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and Andy Serkis in his very secretive role.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are twin mutants who aid Ultron in his quest to destroy humanity. "They're on Team Ultron, which makes things really hard for the Avengers because all of sudden they're dealing with powers that they're not used to," director Joss Whedon told EW. The uber villain, voiced by James Spader, is seen re-creating himself in the very beginning of the movie. "He sees the world from a very strange point of view because he's brand new, he's very young," Spader described the character.

The trailer was supposed to debut next week during ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode and then play in front of Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" theatrical release in November. Marvel acknowledged the leak, tweeting, "Dammit, Hydra," in reference to the fictitious terrorist organization in Marvel comics. Curiously, the trailer mentioned April 2015 as the release date although Marvel said it would hit theaters May 1, 2015.
