TV

The British actor and former professional soccer player will appear as Danny Brickwell in multiple episodes of season 3.

AceShowbiz - The CW's "Arrow" has found its Brick. The show has tapped British actor Vinnie Jones to portray the DC Comics villain, Danny Brickwell, in episodes 10, 11 and 12 of the current third season.

Brick is a ruthless gang leader who aims to bring Starling City's government down. In the comic books, Brick is a metahuman with stony skin that grants him invulnerability and super-strength. His success as an underworld kingpin is due to his brilliant criminal mind rather than his superhuman powers.

He got his nickname Brick because he's been shot over a dozen times but never killed. This will mark the character's live-action debut. Brick was previously featured on Cartoon Network's animated series "Young Justice" and a DC Nation short centering on Green Arrow.

Jones joins other guest stars on "Arrow" season 3 which include Matt Nable as Ra's al Ghul, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom, J.R. Ramirez as Ted "Wildcat" Grant, Nick Tarabay as Captain Boomerang, Amy Gumenick as Cupid, and David Cubitt as Mark "Manhunter" Shaw. The show airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. on The CW.

Jones, a former professional soccer player, has a regular role on ABC's upcoming musical comedy "Galavant", which is slated to debut in midseason. He has starred in "X-Men: The Last Stand" as Juggernaut, "Escape Plan" alongside Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and on TV series "Elementary".
