'Either I'm not in the show anymore or there's a flashback where I found a razor,' he says with a laugh about his clean-shaven face.

AceShowbiz - There's something different with Andrew Lincoln when he showed up at "The Walking Dead" season 5 premiere party on Thursday, October 2. The actor, who had sported beard for years for his role on the AMC hit series, appeared with a clean-shaven face that night, raising question about his character's (Rick Grimes) fate on the show.

"Either I'm not in the show anymore or there's a flashback where I found a razor," he jokingly said to The Hollywood Reporter about his new look. "[Losing the beard] was more pleasant for my wife!" He further teased, "It's an extraordinary and interesting thing that goes down. I can't really go into it because I don't want to spoil it."

The red carpet premiere was held at AMC Universal City Walk in Universal City, Calif. Lead star Lincoln was joined by co-stars Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Emily Kinney, Lauren Cohan, Andrew J. West, Danai Gurira, Christian Serratos and Melissa McBride at the event.

The new season of "The Walking Dead" launches Sunday, October 12 at 9:00 P.M. ET on AMC.
