'There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this,' the musician says of his decision to leave the boyband that once also featured Robbie Williams.

AceShowbiz - Jason Orange is no longer a member of Take That. The singer announced his departure from the boyband in a statement posted on their website on Wednesday, September 24, saying he told other members Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen during a meeting last week that he did not want to commit to recording and promoting a new album.

"I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years," he said before thanking everyone including his bandmates and the fans. "Most especially my gratitude goes to all of the good and kind, beautiful and ever-loyal fans of the band, without whom none of this could have been possible. Thank you," he continued.

Orange said he would pursue a solo career and assured fans that everything's okay between him and other Take That members, adding, "There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this."

In the same statement, the three remaining members of Take That said that Orange's departure was a huge loss both professionally and personally. "We first became aware of Jason's reservations a couple of years ago but had hoped that by giving him the desired time and space he may begin to feel differently. This has not been the case and we now have to accept and fully respect his decision," they said.

Take That, which formerly also featured Robbie Williams, is now working on their new album. Now that Orange has left the band, it's unclear if the album will still arrive later this year as scheduled.
