Peterson, who was recently charged with child abuse, has also released a statement following the legal trouble, tweeting, 'I am not a perfect parents, but I am, without a doubt, not a child abuser.'

AceShowbiz - The Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson, who was recently charged with child abuse, has been accused of another abuse. According to multiple media reports on Monday, September 15, the footballer is being investigated for beating his other son.

The latest alleged abuse reportedly took place last June, KHOU-TV reports. A photo shows the 4-year-old boy sporting two bandaids on the head. Sources said that the boy's mother had reported the incident to Child Protective Services, but no charges were filed.

An attorney for Peterson, Rusty Hardin, has commented on the new allegation. "The allegation of another investigation into Adrian Peterson is simply not true," he said. "The allegation is more than one year old and authorities took no action. An adult witness admittedly insists Adrian did nothing inappropriate with his son."

Last week, Peterson was charged with felony injury to a child. He admitted to spanking his young son with a tree branch or "switch" as a form of discipline. "Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in east Texas," Hardin said. The athlete was detained by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office on Saturday and was released after posting a $15,000 bail.

"I am not a perfect son. I am not a perfect husband. I am not a perfect parents, but I am, without a doubt, not a child abuser. I am someone that disciplined his child and [did] not intend to fuse him any injury. No one can understand the hurt that I feel for my son and for the harm I caused him. My goal is always to teach my son right from wrong and that's what I tried to do that day," Peterson said in a statement on Monday.

On the same day, Vikings' owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf announced that Peterson would be reinstated into the team. He will join his teammates for practices and is expected to play in a game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
