The country superstar, who's been refusing to make his music available on digital retailers like iTunes, introduces his own digital music service before kicking off his first tour in years.

AceShowbiz - Garth Brooks is finally willing to make his music available digitally. While he's still not letting digital retailers like iTunes sell his songs and albums, the country singer has announced that his entire catalog will be available on his own online music provider called GhostTunes.

Brooks introduced the new digital music service in a press conference on Thursday, September 4. "Today, with all the scared-ness in my soul, all the love in my heart for music, an alternative for digital music sale is online right now," he said.

He also explained how his GhostTunes would be different from existing music services. "First, the music is however the artist or the label that owns that artists' work wants it sold. Second, it doesn't go on the 70-30 split that digital music is on right now, it's on a much more flexible scale," he continued. "You can play it on any device you want the second you get it. So no more territorial stuff."

GhostTunes is offering "The Bundle", a digital package that allows Brooks' fans to buy the singer's first eight studio albums and his 1998 Double Live album, as well as pre-order his next two albums, all for $29.99. Other acts like Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Coldplay, Maroon 5 and Ariana Grande have also made their music available there.

After making the announcement, Brooks kicked off his first tour in years at the Allstate Arena crowd in Chicago. He's scheduled to bring the tour to some U.S. cities before releasing a new album on Black Friday. "People Loving People" has already been released as the lead single of the yet-to-be-titled LP, which will be his first album of new original music since 2001's "Scarecrow".
