The ballad, in which the singer talks about the end of a longtime relationship, will be featured in her new album 'Reality Show' that's coming out this fall.

AceShowbiz - Earlier this year, Jazmine Sullivan released her comeback single "Dumb" which features guest vocals from Meek Mill. To follow it up, the singer unveiled a new track titled "Forever Don't Last" on Wednesday, September 3.

The acoustic guitar-driven ballad finds Jazmine going emotional as she details the painful end of a long relationship. "And I tried to believe that we could make it/ But trying don't work/ So I just have to face that forever doesn't last too long these days," she sings.

In an interview with Billboard, Jazmine said that "Forever Don't Last" was very "personal" to her. "I'm basically crying on that song. It's a ballad, and that's classic Jazmine. It's a letting-go song which is why it's so personal. I feel like I came to a point in my relationship where [I needed] to let go and move on. I just had to do it," she said.

The track, along with "Dumb", will appear on "Reality Show", her first album in four years that's due out sometime this fall. "I really think with this album there is a more current sound," Jazmine recently told ABC News Radio. "I've always done a lot of different things, but with this particular album I feel like it's going to attract a lot of younger kids who may not have been into my stuff before."
