The former 'Saturday Night Live' star, who suffered from numerous broken bones following a car crash on June 7, depends on his wheelchair as he recovers from the injuries.

AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan's lawyer has shared another update on the comedian's condition as he recovers from injuries following a car crash on June 7. According to the former "Saturday Night Live" star's lawyer Benedict P. Morelli, Morgan still depends on a wheelchair and he probably needs a few more months before he regains his ability to walk without assistance.

"He's making incremental progress," Morelli told PEOPLE. "But they'll have to wait another month before they assess him cognitively."

The fatal car crash took place on Saturday morning, June 7 near Cranbury Township, New Jersey. Back then, a truck hit the back of his car. Comedian James McNair of Peekskill, N.Y. died in the crash while three other people including the former "30 Rock" star were seriously injured.

Morgan, who suffered from "a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs," was transferred to a rehabilitation facility in mid-June and continued treatment at home starting from mid-July. "I'm OK. I feel strong. Love you. Thank you very much. I appreciate it," he told reporters who waited outside his house.

The 45-year-old star has sued the truck's owner Wal-Mart, claiming negligence. "We are deeply sorry that one of our trucks was involved. As we've said, we're cooperating fully in the ongoing investigation. We know it will take some time to resolve all of the remaining issues as a result of the accident, but we're committed to doing the right thing for all involved," the company said.
