First Look at Margot Robbie as Jane in 'Tarzan' Unveiled
Movie

Several on-set photos show Jane being held captive by Captain Leon Rom and his men on a paddle steam boat.

AceShowbiz - The first look of Jane Porter in the long-gestating "Tarzan" movie has been unveiled via on-set photos. Australian actress Margot Robbie portrays the titular character's wife, wearing a cream Victorian dress with her red hair tied back.

An outdoor filming was underway in U.K. on Wednesday, August 27. Robbie's Jane looked disheveled as she was tied up to a paddle steam boat. Alexander Skarsgard's Tarzan was nowhere to be seen but Christoph Waltz's Captain Leon Rom was on board the ship with his rogue men.

Based off of Edgar Rice Burrougs' novel, "Tarzan" takes place years after Tarzan left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom. But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

Warner Bros. is set to release the movie on June 1, 2016. The film will be a 3D action-adventure work directed by David Yates. The project has been in the works for more than a decade, experiencing several set backs when both Guillermo del Toro and Stephen Sommers stepped out of the director parts.
