The project will focus on ACME Corporation with the script penned by 'X-Men: First Class' screenwriters.

AceShowbiz - A new movie based on Warner Bros.' classic animated series Looney Tunes is in the works. According to a scoop from The Hollywood Reporter, actor/comedian Steve Carell is attached to play a role in the upcoming CG/live-action hybrid film.

"X-Men: First Class" scribes Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are booked to write the screenplay, while duo Glenn Ficarra and John Requa who previously directed Carell in romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love." are in negotiations to serve behind the lens.

Plot details are still scarce, but the feature film will not focus on the Looney Tunes character. Instead, it will center on Acme Corporation, a fictional manufacturer on the cartoon series. The untitled ACME movie is produced by Dan Lin and Roy Lee ("The Lego Movie").
