Derek Hough Nabs Multi-Episode Arc on 'Nashville'

The 'DWTS' champion's character is a movie star who is tapped to play one of the famous country stars.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" pro dancer Derek Hough has signed up for a multi-episode arc on ABC's "Nashville". In his first major acting gig, Hough will play a "beguiling and disarming" movie star named Noah West.

According to Deadline, West is cast for a leading role in the biopic of a famous country singer and will cross paths with the "Nashville" characters. His arc will begin in October.

Hough has also trained as a singer. He had starred in dancing movie "Make Your Move" and the stage production of "Footloose: The Musical".

Earlier this week, ABC announced that Hough would be part of "DWTS" season 19 dancing pros. The 29-year-old had won five times and won an Emmy for his choreography work on the dancing competition show.
