Sports site TerezOwens reports that the headliner for the upcoming event 'already has serious ties to the National Football League.'

AceShowbiz - The headliner of the 2015 Superbowl Halftime Show may have been picked. According to TerezOwens.com, chances are pretty high that Carrie Underwood will be performing at the big game slated for next February.
"We're being told this year's performer already has serious ties to the National Football League," the site wrote. "A few inside sources revealed to us that Carrie Underwood most likely will be doing the super bowl halftime show this year."
Underwood does have serious ties to the league. Being responsible for the "Sunday Night Football" theme song, she will perform "Waiting All Day for Sunday" to kick off each 2014 season game.
The country superstar came as a replacement for Faith Hill, who'd been singing the theme song since 2007. "Carrie Underwood was our first and only choice to perform the 'Sunday Night Football' opening," "SNF" producer Fred Gaudelli said in a press release upon the announcement. "She's one of America's most popular entertainers and the perfect fit for our show."
Meanwhile, a Seattle resident named Ed Ball recently started a petition on change.com to have Weird Al Yankovic perform at the halftime show. The petition has been signed by more than 120,000 supporters.
