The actor, who was a marine biology student, was filmed joining Dr. Michael Domeier as he tried to tag a pregnant great white shark.

AceShowbiz - The late Paul Walker makes a posthumous appearance in a preview clip for Shark Week special "Spawn of Jaws: The Birth" which aired on Discovery Channel. In the nearly-2-minute clip shared by EW, Walker can be seen working with Dr. Michael Domeier as he tried to tag a pregnant great white shark about three weeks before the fiery car crash which took his life.

Walker, who was a marine biology student, is seen joining the scientist on a boat when they dropped some cameras into the water in hope to find shark's pupping grounds. The short clip also shows the "Fast and Furious" actor riding a jet ski.

In an interview with EW, Domeier said that at first he didn't like Walker joining him, but then he learned that Walker's passion about marine life was genuine. Walker even once told him he wanted to quit acting and go back to school. "He'd text me all the time, call me because he wanted to do more. He would call me in the middle of the night and say, 'Hey, I want to quit acting. I want to go back to school. Can you help me?' " he recalled.

"And I'd talk him off the ledge and go, 'Paul, that's a really bad idea.' [Laughs] I said, 'You can have much more of an influence on these topics as a celebrity. Let's work together. I can help you, give you talking points.' So we kept in touch over the years, even after we both stopped working on [Shark Men]. He kept calling me: 'Hey, let's do something again. When can I come with you again?' " the shark scientist added.
