The WWE star's family members were fortunate for not suffering any serious injuries in the horrible accident.

AceShowbiz - Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock confirmed on Sunday, August 10, that his mother Ata Naivia-Johnson and his cousin, Lina Fanene, survived a car accident caused by an alleged drunk driver. The pro-wrestler-turned-actor admitted that while it's tempting to retaliate with "unrelenting harm," he's just "grateful" that his family's "lived through" the accident.

The "Hercules" star posted a snap of the wreckage on Instagram and captioned it with, "My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week - they lived. First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them. #BearHugsAndGratitude #100PercentPreventable #ChoicesMatter."

Dwayne's uncle told TMZ that Ata and Lina were driving home from an annual family fundraiser when the alleged drunk driver hit them. Both women were rushed to the hospital and Ata was hospitalized for three nights for an injury the uncle refused to reveal.

On August 8, Lina shared a collage of pictures on Instagram showing Dwayne visiting her in the hospital. In the picture, the "Pain and Gain" actor's seen making a goofy face at the bedside of his cousin. "We are a bunch of goof balls!" she wrote.

The aspiring wrestler also shared another photo of herself wearing an arm sling. She wrote, "Still all smiles! Very grateful to be alive and for the love from all of my family and friends! Incredibly blessed!" According to WrestlingInc.com, Lina underwent surgery for an undisclosed arm injury.
