The 'Mad Men' actress refuses to confirm or deny if she's approached for season 2 of the HBO series, but says, 'It's so flattering to be associated with that show.'

AceShowbiz - Elisabeth Moss may only add fuel to rumors about her casting on "True Detective" season 2 with her indirect answers when asked about her possible involvement on the show. Claiming that she knows nothing about the show, she refuses to confirm or deny the reports.

"I know nothing. I know literally as much as you know. The rumors hit me," she tells USA Today. "I can't even...it's...you know...," she coyly replies when asked if she has been approached for the next installment of the HBO show. "Not in the way everyone is talking about, honestly. I had to ask my own people, 'Have you not told me something?' "

She continues, "For me as an actor who's been in this business for over 25 years, it's so flattering to be associated with that show. (And) for anyone to think that I could be a part of that show." Asked if she will do the show if she's offered a role, she says with a laugh, "Don't try to...."

Mark Duplass, who stars with Moss in supernatural rom-com "The One I Love", claims that he knows more than the "Mad Men" actress "at this point." He says, "I'll just say that since people have started to see ('The One I Love'), I've gotten lots of e-mails from (HBO) brass that I work with, and every one of them is in love with Elisabeth Moss. So more and more rumors are going to fly."

Moss is rumored to take the female lead role in the upcoming second season of the critically acclaimed anthology series. She may play Ani Bezzerides, "a tough, no-nonsense Monterey sheriff whose troubled upbringing has driven her to gambling and alcohol."

The show will reportedly also feature three male lead roles, with Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn linked to the parts. No official casting is announced yet.
