The 'Child of God' star calls out a gossip site for their 'homophobic scoop' about his relationship with a good friend and co-star Haze in an Instagram post.

AceShowbiz - James Franco slams a story about his relationship with actor Scott Haze, calling the piece "homophobic scoop." The actor/director took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 6 to call out a gossip site for their report, writing, "GAWKER - always getting the cutting edge, homophobic scoop!!! Go see CHILD OF GOD in theaters and see me direct my live-in boyfriend, SCOTT HAZE!!! Love you SCOTT!!!!"

The Gawker article, based on a piece by New York Times, highlighted info that Franco and his "Child of God" co-star are living in a same apartment. According to the original piece, both actors met when they were acting students a decade ago and now they are "so close that describing them merely as friends would be a disservice."

Dating rumors apparently have been circling the actor. Before responding to the story, Franco poked fun at reports of him having romantic relationship with Lana Del Rey. The "127 Hours" actor shared a black-and-white snap of him posing with the "Young and Beautiful" hitmaker and wrote, "Oh snap, we got married. JUST KIDDING!!!"

Del Rey previously was seen attending the screening of "Child of God" in NYC on July 30. Franco, meanwhile, was spotted with a Los Angeles-based model Erin Johnson at LAX on August 3. Sources told E! News that the pair were not dating and that they only spent their time together.
