The rapper is not impressed with 'Shell Shocked', a track recorded by Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and Ty Dolla $ign for the upcoming 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Vanilla Ice has shared his opinion on the new "Ninja Turtles" rap by Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and Ty Dolla $ign. The three stars have recorded a song called "Shell Shocked" for the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" soundtrack, but Ice says during an interview with GQ that he is not impressed.

"With respect to all of the artists, the song doesn't really do it for me," says Ice who rapped "Go, ninja, go!" for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze" in the 1990s. "It feels a little artificial."

"What I mean by that is that it sounds like a bunch of executives in the corporate world put it together. It really does not fit the theme of the Ninja Turtles legend. I think you have to understand, and be a true Ninja, to possess the Magic to really pull off the secret sound," he explains.

In a previous statement, Khalifa shared that he was a big fan of Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Donatello. "I actually have Donatello tattooed on my leg, so when they asked me to do it, just being a fan and being a musician, it made sense. In my generation, I think everyone who listens to me loves the Turtles as much as I do," he said.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" hits U.S. theaters on August 8. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the movie stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek and Will Arnett among others.
