Some fans tell the singer to 'kill himself' or to let them kill him after he recently voiced his support for Palestine amid the country's ongoing conflict with Israel.

AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik received backlash after he showed support for Palestine amid the country's ongoing conflict with Israel. Many of his fans expressed their anger and disappointment after the One Direction member tweeted "#FreePalestine" over the weekend.

"U have fans in #Israel. It broke me that one of my idols want me to die," one of those pro-Israel fans responded on Twitter. Some other fans reportedly even wanted the singer to "kill himself" or to let them kill him instead.

Malik is not the first musician who has gotten into troubles after voicing support for Palestine. Earlier this month, Rihanna also tweeted "#FreePalestine" before quickly deleting it. "Let's pray for peace and a swift end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict! Is there any hope?" she later wrote.

A few days later, Selena Gomez posted a "Pray for Gaza" message on Instagram. In addition to some angry fans, the former Disney star was blasted by none other than Joan Rivers who told TMZ, "Oh, well, if Selena said that! Let's see if she can spell 'Palestinian.' " Gomez refused to take down the post despite the backlash.

Malik's now-controversial message also remains on Twitter with more than 180,000 favorites and more than 180,000 retweets. The star has yet commented on the news.
