The former Marvel editor-in-chief is forced to scrap his appearance at the convention after he 'lost his voice due to laryngitis.'

AceShowbiz - Stan Lee scrapped his scheduled appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con due to illness. The comic book legend who created Spider-Man, Hulk, Avengers, and X-Men was supposed to make appearances and signings on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, but was forced to call them off.
"Unfortunately, Stan Lee has lost his voice due to laryngitis and is unable to attend this year's San Diego Comic-Con and has regrettably had to cancel his appearances," a rep said. "Stan is otherwise well and in good health, though he is disappointed to miss the event and wishes everyone a great time."
Lee, 91, is former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief. He will next appear in San Antonio's Alamo City Comic-Con in September after previously visiting Phoenix Comic-Con in June and the London Film & Toy convention earlier this month. On screen, he recently made a cameo in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", will appear briefly in "Guardians of the Galaxy", and has filmed a scene for "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
