Joss Whedon: There Are 'Four Prominent Female Roles' in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

Other than the obvious Black Widow and Scarlet Witch, the director says there are two more major female characters in the upcoming sequel.

AceShowbiz - Joss Whedon answered a question about "Avengers: Age of Ultron" during the U.K. premiere of "Guardians of the Galaxy" in London recently. The director told HeyUGuys there would be "four prominent female roles" in "The Avengers" sequel.

"Age of Ultron" is due May 1, 2015 in the U.S. Two brand-new concept art posters for the movie were revealed ahead of its anticipated panel at San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H this coming Saturday, July 26. One sees Black Widow fighting a bunch of robots, and the other features Captain America in a similar situation.

Robert Downey Jr. is back as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Evans as the Cap, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Aaron Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are added as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch respectively, while James Spader plays the main baddie, Ultron.
