AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin showed up in Manhattan criminal courts on Thursday, July 24 in relation to his disorderly conduct charge. As reported by NY Daily News, Baldwin said during the court session that he offered to pay a fine instead of apologizing for allegedly bad-mouthing a police officer. "I'm asking for an apology," Judge John DeLury said, to which he replied, "I'd rather pay a fine."
The judge eventually decided that the case would be dismissed if the former "30 Rock" actor could avoid getting re-arrested in the next six months. "Can you stay out of trouble, Alexander?" the judge was quoted as saying. Baldwin, who sported a black shirt and navy blazer during the court appearance, replied, "Sure, sure." The judge then said, "Be a good boy from now on. Have a good day!"
According to the news outlet, Baldwin did not say anything to reporters who waited for him, but he had an arm bump with four homeless men who shouted at paparazzi to leave him alone. "It's cool that he'd take a moment to even acknowledge a dirty kid like me," said one of them.
Baldwin's latest legal trouble started on May 13 when he was stopped by a police officer for biking the wrong way on Fifth Avenue. He did not have his ID back then and was asked to go to a police precinct. According to a NYPD spokesperson, "then he got belligerent and started to argue with the officers."
