The 'If I Ain't Got You' hitmaker shares her excitement after joining Pharrell's team as a mentor, tweeting, 'His team killed it ;-).'

AceShowbiz - "The Voice" has welcomed another powerful singer to the family. Alicia Keys has shared exciting news that she is joining Pharrell Williams' team as a mentor in the upcoming season of the singing competition which airs on NBC.

"My friend @Pharrell invited me to be a mentor for his team on #TheVoice! His team killed it ;-) #AliciaKeysonTheVoice," the "No One" hitmaker tweeted, adding a photo of her posing with the "Happy" singer. Williams also expressed his excitement, writing, "Can't wait @aliciakeys."

Williams, who previously worked as a mentor on "The Voice", joined the show as a coach in March following Cee-Lo Green's exit. The upcoming gig will not be the first time he works with Keys. They recently collaborated for a song "Know Who You Are" which is featured in Williams' latest album "G I R L".

The seventh season of "The Voice" is set to premiere on September 22 at 8 P.M. In addition to Williams, other coaches Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have announced mentors for their teams. The No Doubt singer has her husband Gavin Rossdale to work with her team. Little Big Town has been announced as a mentor to Shelton's team while the Maroon 5 frontman's team has Stevie Nicks.
