First Trailer of 'Trash' Starring Rooney Mara Released
Movie

Three slum boys found a mysterious package that a police officer desperately wants to get his hands on.

AceShowbiz - The first look into Stephen Daldry's "Trash" is offered in a trailer with no English subtitles. Newcomers Rickson Tevez, Eduardo Luis and Gabriel Weinstein are three street kids who make a living picking up trash and found an important small leather bag one day.

The three boys Rato, Gardo and Raphael live in an unnamed third world country and scrape a living picking through rubbish mounds on the outskirts of their city. They came upon a package containing wallet with money in it, an ID, a folder-up map and a key. A man, played by Wagner Moura, threw the package while fleeing from the cops.

A police officer offered the boys reward for the package but they chose to keep it and put their lives in danger altogether. "Trash" also stars Rooney Mara as an NGO worker who tries to help the boys. Michael Sheen is a priest who is also aiding them.

There is no release date for the U.S. yet but the pic will hit Brazil, where it was filmed, on October 9. And then it will be released in the U.K. on October 31.
