According to the cable channel, the 12-day non-stop stream will make it the longest-running marathon in television history.

AceShowbiz - All 552 episodes of "The Simpsons" will be aired on FXX along with the feature film. The cable network announced the "Simpsons" marathon at the Television Critics Association fall previews on Monday, July 21 after obtaining the exclusive cable network rights to the longest-running primetime animated series last year.

The record-breaking marathon begins Thursday, August 21 for 24 hours a day, for 12 straight days. After the marathon, "The Simpsons" will be added to FXX's regular schedule in primetime and late night. There will also be a mini marathon of eight episodes on Sundays, leading into the season 26 broadcast on FOX. A marathon of the Halloween-themed "Treehouse of Horror" episodes will be streamed on October 26 starting from noon.

In addition, "Simpsons World" app will enable subscribers to access every episode of the series via their computer or other networked devices such as iPhone, iPad, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Android phones and tablets, Smart TVs, and additional set-tops devices. Non subscribers will be able to watch clips but not the full episodes.

"I see reason to not do anything but this app for 24 hours," Simpsons executive producer Al Jean said. "I don't want to over-promise, but I think this app will supply you with affordable healthcare."
