AceShowbiz - HBO has released a new promo for "Boardwalk Empire" season 5 to tease fans of the show. While it still doesn't reveal the plotline, the video does share more scenes, including the one which sees Chalky White (Michael Kenneth Williams) in a prison garb and slabbing a rock with a pitchfork in the woods.
Earlier in the teaser, Chalky, not wearing his fancy suit, sits in the same room with two women. The younger girl says, "There's forgiveness for everyone. That's what Jesus said," but he corrects her, "Baby girl... Jesus was WRONG."
In other scenes, an angry Nucky (Steve Buscemi) is seen throwing someone against the wall and Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol) is lying in a bathtub in an all-white room. Meanwhile, Eli Thompson (Shea Whigham) and another man are held at gunpoint on the street.
The fifth and final season of the period drama will premiere Sunday, September 7 at 9/8c on HBO.
Michael K. Williams previously said the next installment would be set during the Great Depression. "The storyline has jumped seven years [into the future], which is why I have the beard now," he revealed. "The Depression has set in. The days of the shiny shoes and fancy suits are long gone."
