The troublemaker and the controversial singer's albums and merchandise are placed in a fake boombox that's later blown out in the middle of the field during an event called 'Disco Demolition 2'.

AceShowbiz - The Charleston RiverDogs, a minor-league baseball team in South Carolina, hosted a mass destruction of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus' music and merchandise. Dubbed "Disco Demolition 2: You Better Belieb It", the event was held at a Saturday, July 19 game between RiverDogs and Augusta GreenJackets.

Fans could buy tickets to the game for $1 if they brought items associated with Bieber and/or Cyrus. Those items were put in a fake boombox placed in the middle of the field before being blown out.

"Disco Demolition 2" is a continuation of "Disco Demoliton Night" which took place 35 years ago. At that time, thousands of disco records by various artists were destroyed in an on-field explosion during a double-header between White Sox and Detroit Tigers at Comiskey Park.

"Like so many, we have taken special exception to Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus's music along with his numerous run-ins with the law and her controversial performances," RiverDogs general manager Dave Echols said of "Disco Demolition 2" in a statement.

" 'Disco Demolition 2' is dedicated to the eradication of their dread musical disease, like the original Disco Demolition attempted to do. We are going to take Bieber and Cyrus' merchandise and memorabilia, put it in a giant box, and blow it to smithereens. It is all in good fun, and we guarantee there won't be a forfeit of a game."
