Sean Bean Wants to Return to 'Game of Thrones' in Flashbacks
TV

The Ned Stark depicter would like to reprise his role on the HBO series, saying that he's 'got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there.'

AceShowbiz - Sean Bean is open to the possibility of returning to "Game of Thrones". Despite his character's tragic fate in the first season, he has just learned that there's a way for him to be featured on the show again and he's excited about it.

In an interview with Vulture, the British actor is informed that there could be flashback scenes in season 5 that may involve him. "Oh, yeah, yeah!" he says of the flashbacks via Bran's connection to the heart trees. "And I'm his father, so that would be great fun!"

Sounding enthusiastic, he continues, "Just to go back to that for a while, it would be such fun to do. It would be great! It would be bizarre, but it would be great! So I guess if they're going to do flashbacks, then yeah!"

When told that it's just a theory, he responds, "But it's a good theory! And that should happen, shouldn't it?" Claiming, "I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there," he drops a major spoiler [SPOILER ALERT!] as saying, "I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you?"

He adds, "So Bran would kind of be the one having the flashback, and he would see Ned praying, right? And revealing those things? You never know what those guys are going to do with that. It's got to be something special. But I'm into that. I certainly would be into that. Print that! Give them a nudge. [Laughs.] Hopefully I'll get a call soon."

Bean now headlines TNT's "Legends" which will launch August 13 at 9 P.M.

The upcoming fifth season of "Game of Thrones" is expected to premiere in spring 2015.
