Tulisa's Drunk Manager Says Simon Cowell Is Gay

July 18, 2014, 7:31 am GMT

In a video played during Tulisa's recent drug trial, the drunk manager said that Simon was a gay and he would make a move on the former 'American Idol' judge.

Tulisa's drunk manager, Gareth Varey, claimed that Simon Cowell was a gay in a video played during Tulisa's drug trial on July 16. Gareth added that he would make a move on Simon one day.

Tulisa is on trial after reportedly boasting that she could "sort out" cocaine for Mazher Mahmood, an undercover Sun reporter who pretended to be a Bollywood movie producer named Samir Khan. The singer also put the reporter in touch with her rapper friend Mike GLC who supplied Class A drugs.

Mazher denied "manipulating" Tulisa after he offered a leading role in a British "Slumdog Millionaire"-style movie to the 26-year-old singer.

Mazher said he talked with Gareth about Tulisa's fee for the fictitious movie at the Metropolitan hotel on May 10 last year. In the video recorded in Mazher's hotel room, which was played during the trial, the reporter asked Gareth if Simon was a gay. Gareth then replied, "Yes."

The reporter continued to ask Gareth, "Have you slept with him?" Gareth then answered, "No," adding, "one day I will, when I make my move." Mazher continued with another question, "But how do you know he is gay?" Gareth replied, "I know people who have."

Mazher said he used "subterfuge" to record the meeting with Tulisa. He claimed, "The motive here is in the public interest to expose criminality." He denied that he tried to make a "sensational story" from the sting, saying, "Of course, I'm a journalist and stories are what I do for a living. That's not the reason I did it."

Tulisa was arrested in June 2013. While Mike has pleaded guilty, Tulisa's trial still continues as she denied being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.

Meanwhile, there is still no comment from Simon about the statement which said he was a gay.
