Ann Curry Reportedly Eyed by 'The View'

The former 'Today' co-anchor is said being considered to join Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg as a co-host on the ABC talk show.

is the latest name added to "" shortlist. According to Page Six, the NBC journalist is being considered to fill one of the vacant seats on the ABC daytime talk show, although she's still under contract with NBC.

Other names linked to "The View" are Mario Cantone and Meghan McCain, who is the daughter of John McCain. , and S.E. Cupp are allegedly also in contention for the gig, while has officially rejoined the show as a co-host.

Commenting on O'Donnell's return, the soon-to-be departing co-host recently said, "I love Rosie. I have been a fan of hers forever. I knew they were looking to bring some heat to the table and there is no doubt that will Rosie there will be some heat. They are definitely going in the direction of fire."

Being supportive, she added, "It's going to be some exciting television. I will be there with my beer and popcorn at eleven in the morning. I can't wait to see how it plays out."

, a former co-host on "The View", wasn't thrilled when she learnt that O'Donnell would return to the show. The current "Fox & Friends" co-host, who was involved in a heated argument with O'Donnell before O'Donnell's departure in 2007, said the news ruined her vacation.

She additionally called O'Donnell "the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there."

Hasselbeck later clarified her comments, writing on Instagram a few days later, "I don't hate Rosie. I actually called to talk to her 7 years ago. She did not want to speak to me. I am happy to have a #momversation about why I would never defend her 2007 comments."
