'Game of Thrones' Star Rose Leslie Joins Vin Diesel in 'The Last Witch Hunter'

The actress who plays flame-haired Ygritte on the HBO series lands a role as a love interest to Diesel's semi-immortal character.

AceShowbiz - "The Last Witch Hunter" has found a love interest for Vin Diesel. "Game of Thrones" actress Rose Leslie is tapped to play a witch, starring opposite the "Fast and Furious 7" actor who is already set to play the titular hunter in the supernatural actioner.

The film will see the semi-immortal witch hunter wandering the streets of modern New York City. He is forced to partner with his natural enemy, a female witch, and the unlikely allies must stop a villainous witch queen from obtaining a relic and unleashing plague upon humanity.

The pic is directed by Breck Eisner. Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama ("Gods of Egypt") polish the script drafted by Cory Goodman. D.W. Harper and "Dallas Buyers Club" writer Melisa Wallack also contributed to the scriptwriting. No release date has been announced.

Diesel who just wrapped up "Fast and Furious 7" production recently wrote on Facebook, "I just read the latest draft of The Last Witch Hunter... wow, amazing! I literally needed to go off alone, to digest and reflect... It will be an exciting challenge to bring the character of Kaulder to life..."
