The CW supernatural series eyes Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi nod, while the ABC Family series vies for Choice TV Show: Drama title.

AceShowbiz - The first wave of nominations for the 2014 Teen Choice Awards has been announced. In TV categories, teens' favorites "The Vampire Diaries" and "Pretty Little Liars" lead the pack with five apiece.
"Vampire Diaries" is nominated for Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Also vying for the title are "Arrow", "Once Upon a Time", "Sleepy Hollow" and "Teen Wolf". The CW supernatural series also helps its stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley earn a nomination for Choice TV Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, while Nina Dobrev is pitted against her co-star Katerina Graham for Choice TV Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
"Liars" is named among nominees for Choice TV Show: Drama which also include "Hart of Dixie", "Switched at Birth", "The Fosters" and "Twisted". The latter three shows and "Liars" are airing on ABC Family.
Two of the main female cast members, Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario, are eying Choice TV Actress: Drama prize. They are up against Rachel Bilson ("Hart of Dixie"), Maddie Hasson ("Twisted") and Maia Mitchell ("The Fosters") for the title. Meanwhile, Ian Harding and Keegan Allen are both nominated for Choice TV Actor: Drama, which also includes Jake T. Austin ("The Fosters"), Lucas Grabeel ("Switched at Birth") and Avan Jogia ("Twisted") as the other nominees.
Other shows earning multiple nominations include "Glee", "The Big Bang Theory" and "Austin & Ally", which are all vying for Choice TV Show: Comedy award. "American Idol" and "The Voice" are among nominees for Choice TV: Reality Competition Show, while "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" is nominated for Choice TV: Reality Show.
Fans between the ages of 13 and 19 can vote for their favorites once a day for each category on teenchoiceawards.com. The winners in TV, movie, music, fashion and other fields will be announced in a ceremony that will air live Sunday, August 10 starting at 8/7c on FOX.
