Drake and Lil Wayne Team Up for Co-Headlining Tour

The co-headlining show, which will be brought to 31 cities across the U.S., is set to open on August 8 in Darien Center, New York, and close out in Texas on September 27.

AceShowbiz - Drake and Lil Wayne are hitting the road together later this year. The two rappers announced on Friday, June 12 that they would co-headline "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" tour that's scheduled to run from August through September.

The 31-city trek will be kicked off at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, New York, on August 8. Drake and Wayne will later bring their tour to major cities across the U.S. before wrapping things up at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, Texas, on September 27.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 20 via LiveNation.com. Citi card holder can purchase pre-sale tickets starting on Tuesday, June 17 until Thursday, June 19.

This would be Drake's second tour this year, as he recently closed out his "Would You Like a Tour". Before joining Wayne, the Canadian MC will appear at the 5th annual OVO Fest that will take place in his hometown of Toronto on August 4.

As for Wayne, the 31-year-old rapper is currently working on his new album, "Tha Carter V", which is scheduled to be released later this year. The anticipated project has been preceded by Drake-assisted "Believe Me".
