'The Giver' New Trailer: Meryl Streep Rules in Black and White World

Everything is not what it seems in the colorless world portrayed in the movie led by Brenton Thwaites and supported by Jeff Bridges.

A brand new trailer for a new young adult book adaptation, "", is unleashed. It gives a better understanding of how Lois Lowry's fictional dystopian society, where there is no pain and conflict, is portrayed in the film. The extremely-organized world is shown in black-and-white footage with as a strict leader.

In this film directed by Phillip Noyce (""), is tapped to play the keeper of all ancient memories called The Giver. He takes a protege played under his wing. During his training, the young boy starts to see colors and gradually learns the disturbing truth behind the seemingly ideal community he's living in.

The movie is set to make its way out in the United States starting August 15. , , and are among the supporting cast.
