Rob Copeland, Ben Forster, Brandon Boyd, and director Laurence Connor take it to Twitter to express their feelings regarding the cancellation.

AceShowbiz - "Jesus Christ Superstar" members responded after the star-studded production was canceled just days before it was supposed to kick off in New Orleans on June 9. Rob Copeland posted on Twitter a picture of the crew giving a middle figure gesture after the news broke out.

The actor then proposed a replacement gig, "Right.. Glastonbury is now a possibility... Anyone out there able to sort tickets for us lot...?" He added, "So, there is a theatre tent at Glastonbury. We have a whole rock show ready to go. JCS for a one off concert at Glasto..? #twittercampaign?"

Ben Forster who was supposed to play Jesus wrote on his own page, "I am so devastated. I'm sorry to everyone who got tickets and flights..Who ever f**ked it up I hate u . But #IforgiveU #imjesus..wellwas x." Director Laurence Connor commented, "It is a sad day indeed. My thoughts are with my most dedicated cast and crew who have lost their jobs today. All amazing people."

Other cast included John Lydon of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd., Michelle Williams (II) of Destiny's Child, Incubus' Brandon Boyd, and NSYNC's JC Chasez. Boyd who was supposed to play Judas wrote, "I got fired from #JesusChristSuperstar today.but so did the rest of the cast so we're all sad together. Yeah, it's true. Tour cancelled."

The production was axed due to poor ticket sales. It was originally planned to hit around 50 cities across the U.S. and to include a reported 300 cast and crew members from the States and across the pond. In April, some of the cast visited "Good Morning America" to give a little taste at what's to expect from the show.

Producer Michael Cohl ("Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark") told The New York Times, "It became obvious the shows were in trouble but we tried until the last moment to give it every chance to turn around." He added, "In the end it just did not make business sense to continue and we didnt want the cast to endure playing to disappointing audiences."
