The 'Foxcatcher' actor calls himself a 'high-functioning' alcoholic, wins a drunken X-rated bet with Jonah Hill, and used to have an imaginary friend.

AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum graces the front page of GQ's latest issue. In an interview for his cover story, the husband of Jenna Dewan opened up about his drinking habit, recalled an X-rated bet with his "21 Jump Street" co-star Jonah Hill, and briefly revisited his childhood.

"I probably drink too much," the father of one admitted. "I'm probably a pretty high-functioning, I guess, you know, I would say, alcoholic." He explained, "There's probably a tendency to escape. I equate it to creativity, and I definitely equate it to having a good time."

The hunk, however, cut back the booze after her daughter Everly was born May 2013 in London. He will stay alcohol-free for four months during the filming of "Magic Mike" sequel which is expected to begin this fall. "Then, at the end of that movie," he said, "it's go time."

One of the results of his drunken moment was an outrageous bet with his co-star Hill. He predicted their film would score big in its opening weekend. " 'I will kiss the tip of your d**k through your underwear if we make $35 million,' " Tatum recalled Hill saying.

"21 Jump Street" was indeed a box office hit, leading to a sequel "22 Jump Street" due June 13 this year. But the "Jupiter Ascending" actor hasn't collected his win, "I haven't made him do it yet. For obvious reasons. That's a bad bet to lose - it's not too good to win, either."

"But definitely the shame of it would be enjoyable. It's my trump card, for sure," he joked. "He tries not to bring it up at all costs. Unless he did something horrible to me, I don't know if I could ever cash it in. It would change our relationship forever."

Hill himself said, "I will only say that Channing and I say a lot of stupid stuff when we drink together." The comedian added, "It's a lose-lose for both parties, I feel. I'd have to clear it with Jenna... There's all sorts of loopholes that have to be taken into consideration."

"Maybe, on a drunk night when we're all being crazy and hopefully, knock on wood, Jump Street 2 works out and people love it, maybe out of the elation of that event in our lives I might call in the bet," said Tatum. "Or I might make him double or nothing."

The "Foxcatcher" star also opened up about an imaginary friend he used to have when he was young. "His name was Boy," he said. "I think I just lived in an imaginary world. I was always playing war in the woods, people are chasing me ... I wasn't doing it because I was desperate for friends. I had friends. I couldn't see features, in a way, but I knew he was there ... I haven't really thought about him in so long."
