AceShowbiz - Cody Simpson caused a buzz on Instagram after posting a photo of himself butt-naked. Both Instagram and Facebook, where he posted the image, took down the photo not long after he put it up on Sunday, May 18.
In the picture, the 17-year-old faced the ocean view off his hotel balcony while completely naked. He captioned, "Free. throwback to Sunday morning on the coast after a big one. surfed out too. how bout that tan. taken by bae." The name "Bae" refers to his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
Within an hour the photo got almost 10,000 likes on Facebook and numerous comments that criticized the singer for posting such an "inappropriate" image due to his largely young fans. Both Instagram and Facebook categorized it as nudity which is against their rules.
"Looks like Instagram didn't like my ass," Simpson tweeted after the take down. On the same day, Hadid tweeted a line from Beyonce Knowles' song "Yonce/Partition", writing, "Just tell me how it's looking babe, tell me how it's looking bae." Simpson and Hadid announced their split earlier this month after dating more than a year.
