Maya Rudolph impersonates Beyonce, while host Samberg debuts two new Digital Shorts and brings back the kissing family with Fred Armisen, Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader.

AceShowbiz - "Saturday Night Live" wrapped up its 39th season with Andy Samberg as a host. The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star was not the only returning former cast member in the season finale as Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader also appeared in the episode that aired May 17.

Rudolph helped "SNL" spoof Jay-Z and Solange Knowles elevator attack which grabbed the headlines in the past week. Jay Pharoah played the rapper and Sasheer Zamata impersonated his sister-in-law, addressing their feud and releasing a video from the fight with an audio track that revealed that she was helping Jay-Z get rid of a spider from him. Rudolph appeared toward the end of the cold open to portray Beyonce Knowles.

Rudolph also joined fellow "SNL" alumni Samberg, Armisen, Wiig and Hader as well as Paul Rudd to bring back the overly intimate family, Vogelchecks. Mocking the recent controversy about Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend on TV, the sketch featured the family members inappropriately kissing each other.

Samberg also debuted two new Digital Shorts, one about a DJ who believed in delayed gratification and another featuring his The Lonely Island partners, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. In his monologue, he tried to top the number of impersonations Hader had done during his days on "SNL" by doing rapid impersonations of Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves and Larry David among others, with the help of Seth Meyers and Martin Short.

The season ender, with featured musical guest St. Vincent, averaged a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters. It's up 17|percent| from last week's episode hosted by Charlize Theron which averaged a 1.8 rating.
