The TV adaptation of DC Comics' 'Hellblazer', drama 'Mysteries of Laura' and comedy 'A to Z' get the greenlights.

AceShowbiz - NBC has ordered three more new series. "Constantine" from executive producer David S. Goyer, "Mysteries of Laura" starring Debra Messing and romantic comedy "A to Z" have got the greenlights ahead of the network's upfront presentation to advertisers next week.

"Constantine" is a supernatural drama based on DC Comics' character. Matt Ryan headlines the series as the occult detective John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent conman turned reluctant supernatural detective, who is thrust into the role of defending the human race against dark forces from beyond.

Together with Liv (Lucy Griffiths), the daughter of one of his oldest friends, who is gifted with an ability to see the worlds behind the world and predict supernatural occurrences, he uses his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world and send them back where they belong.

On "Mysteries of Laura", "Will & Grace" alumna Messing stars as Laura Diamond, a brilliant NYPD homicide detective who balances her "Columbo" day job with a crazy family life that includes two unruly twin boys and a soon-to-be ex-husband. The procedural drama gives a "hilariously authentic look at what it really means to be a 'working mom' today" with sharp humor. Greg Berlanti serves as executive producer along with Aaron Japlan and Todd Lituchy.

"A to Z" pairs "How I Met Your Mother" alumna Cristin Milioti and "Mad Men" star Ben Feldman as a couple, who are attracted to each other despite the fact that they're not like what each thought they wanted. Rashida Jones ("Parks and Recreation"), Will McCormack ("Will & Grace) and Ben Queen executive produce the series.

These three shows join Katherine Heigl's starrer "State of Affairs", "Odyssey", "Allegiance" and comedy "Marry Me" which were picked up to series earlier this week.
